Colette's AXA insurance does not cover the loss or theft of your home keys, nor the intervention and cost of replacing the locks.

💡 Nevertheless, if this happens, we can provide you with some information.

If you rent your home, you probably have home insurance, or multi-risk home insurance. This is optional for homeowners.

These home insurance policies generally cover locksmiths' travel costs and the first hour of work. Overall cover will depend on your options.

Often, this damage requires new keys to be made and/or the lock to be replaced, which will be at your expense.

You can find the information in your home insurance policy.

⚠ To enable your insurer to intervene to compensate you, it must be notified as soon as possible. That way, selected professionals will come to you.

If you call in a locksmith yourself, you run the risk of your insurance company not covering the costs!

🏦 Did you know that your bank could be the solution?

Loss of keys is generally included in the cover provided by most bank insurance policies.

With CIC, keys must be declared lost at the same time as your means of payment for the insurance to work. In this case, the replacement of the keys to your home/your apartment is covered by the insurance policy.

LCL offers a different way of working, with compensation up to a certain amount per claim and insurance year.

Don't hesitate to ask!
